Art as Healing  |  Speaker on the Healing Effects of Art Klyczek Nordstrom’s art is a testament to wholeness, spirituality and peace. For 16 years her art has facilitated her healing from child sexual abuse. Artworks portray anger, disbelief, and despair and move into the reconstruction of her passions, finding joy, and thriving. She believes sharing her story through her art helps others to" see” the process clearly and gives hope that healing is possible. Klyczek Nordstrom is available for speaking to groups in informal and educational settings. More on workshops and lectures.
Children’s Author and Illustrator As part of the healing journey Klyczek Nordstrom has written and illustrated “All-ee, All-ee in Free” for children and adults healing from child sexual abuse. Brilliantly colored illustrations capture the pain, strength, courage and hope of recovery. The straightforward cut outs encompass diversity. The illustrations are not gender, race, or body type specific. The positive and childlike illustrations are accompanied by simple language and steps. Colors, along with facial and hand expressions, are used to help children identify feelings and lead the reader through the stages of the healing process. For more details or to order the book.
